CREATE

The most exciting and transformative stage of the process, when paper dreams are turned into solid reality. It is unfortunately also by far the most stressful stage for you,the client, as well. Your existing external spaces are changed and those changes might be large or small but generally they are unexpectedly inconvenient for any number of reasons! 

I’m not saying this to put you off but because it is at this stage where the guidance of the developed design plan you worked with me to create will be keeping things on track and streamlining the process as much as possible. The unexpected things that turn up during the build of a garden (buried wall foundations for example) are very often both interesting, as they reveal the previous history of your garden, but also might drive a design change that adds a characterful twist that just can’t be deliberately done.

I can help with:

• Dealing with site design enquiries from the contractor or craftspeople involved

• Liaison with nurseries or suppliers

• Helping to coordinate deliveries or construction phasing if there isn’t a lead contractor

• Checking on the progress of the garden build and assisting with quality checks and payment valuations

• Carrying out end-of-project snagging inspections and preparing progress reports
