CONSIDER
In the rush of initial excitement that comes at the beginning of a garden project it can be easy to miss what’s already working really well. Take time to review and check.
I can help with:
Site appraisal study - this is usually an illustrated plan that shows constraints & opportunities like prevailing wind direction, shadow zones, desire lines and wonderful views to be maintained.
Carrying out a Phase 1 Habitat Survey - this is a ‘high level’ review of the existing vegetation and floral habitats around your property. It’s a great way of assessing if your garden has features that might need to be reviewed by an Ecologist or Arboriculturalist.
Producing a local character analysis - a brief report that is designed to pick up on local distinctiveness. This would include hard and soft landscape elements.
A desktop study to review statutory planning guidance for your garden and its immediate surroundings, compiled as a report to give you the guidance you might need on more complex sites - for example those involving listed properties or those located within conservation areas.
